Both events will be held in the City Center. If any change would occur we may switch the venue building but we will stick to the city center.

How to get to Warsaw
There are few ways to get to Warsaw:
By plane:
There are two airports:
Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) - located in Warsaw, about 15 minutes train/car ride to the city center
Warsaw Modlin Airport (WMI) - located 42 km from Warsaw, it takes about 40 minutes by car or about an hour by bus
By car: The A2 highway is the easiest way to get to Warsaw.
By train: There are three main stations in Warsaw- Warsaw Central, Warsaw East and Warsaw West. Due to some construction work some trains may also go to Warsaw Gdańska station - it’s still in the city center, 5 minutes from the tube station.


Getting around the city
Warsaw has awesome public transport infrastructure, with trams, tube, trains and buses.
Single ticket costs around 1 EUR, and the cost of three day ticket is about 12 EUR.

If you come to Warsaw by car, it’s worth considering to leave the car at the parking lot and move around the city using public transport.

Apart from that there are also taxis:

Hotels and accommodation
September and October is unfortunately conference season in Warsaw, and there is a high demand for hotels. We are still working on some discounts, but in the meantime here is the list of hotels and hostels that you can consider. If you are looking into other places for accommodation you should consider places in proximity of M2 tube line.
While sites like Booking.com and Hotels.com are a good way to browse through dozens of hotels it is usually cheaper to book the hotel directly at their website. The discount may vary depending on the hotel, but quite often it’s about 15-20% percent.

https://www.tatamkahostel.pl/ - a popular hostel with wide array of rooms - from single up to 8 people dorm type room with bunk beds. It’s located about 8 minutes walk from the tournament venue.

https://www.hotelhetman.pl/ - another economy hotel with a good restaurant, 1 tube station from the venue.
If you would like to book Airbnb-type accommodation there are plenty of options. For your convenience keep close to the M2 tube line.
In case you decide to book a hotel near the Warsaw Chopin Airport there is an SKM line from the airport to Warszawa Powiśle station. Than it is about 10 minutes walk to the tournament venue.

Food
There are plenty of restaurants, bars and food stores in Warsaw. A local store called Żabka (a SevenEleven type store) is located on every street, and are open till about 23:00 (except for Sunday, where it may vary depending on a particular store).
During EC lunch will be served in the tournament location.



Smoking and Alcohol
It is legal to smoke outside of buildings, with exceptions such as bus stops and similar locations. However, when it comes to smoking anything else, such as weed, both smoking and possession of any amount are illegal in Poland. The law in this regard is stricter than in most European countries, and being caught can result in spending a night in jail. In such an event we will not be able to provide you with any type of assistance.
It is prohibited to drink alcohol or carry an open bottle of alcohol in public.

Jan E. ist im 30th Anniversary Turnier, dem Side Event zum Day 2, ins Finale gekommen.

ja, ich bin tatsächlich beim Side Event ins Finale gekommen - da bin ich aber sehr schnell einem Computer Hacking Weenie zum Opfer gefallen.

Der zweite Tag ist ansonsten ganz gut gelaufen (2R+F), mit 1GW4+1VP. Schön war, dass ich den GW aufgrund eines erfolgreichen Table Split Deals geholt habe - für mich ein absolutes Novum. Habe meinen Grandpredator davon überzeugen können, mein Prey regelmäßig zu rushen und konnte so genügend Pressure aufrecht erhalten. Im Headsup hat mein Malk S&B dann ziemlich effizient gearbeitet. Den ersten (oder zweiten?) Oust habe ich dann bekommen, weil mein Grand Prey den gebouncten Bleed zurück geschickt hat.

Den letzten VP im zweiten Spiel habe ich in Zusammenarbeit mit meinem Grandprey geholt (Saulot Wall). Mit diesem war ich auch im Headsup. Mehrfach hatte ich ihn bei einem Pool. Knapp, aber eben nicht genug. Mit 4:30 min auf der Uhr, einem leeren Library und noch 5 Karten in der Hand habe ich dann aufgegeben. Kein Stealth mehr, Vampire leer, da hätte ich mich nur mit Slow Play ins Timeout retten können.


Am ersten Tag habe ich aus 3 Spielen insgesamt 2 VP geholt (R1+2). Nennenswert war da das zweite Spiel mit Marko als Crosstable. Dessen Sergio Bueno Chameleon deck hat am Schluss den GW geholt, Marko war damit auch im Finale des Day 1. Leider hatte mein (Grand) Prey irgendwann Protected Resources gezogen und hatte viel Bloatmöglichkeiten, da bin ich mit meinen Bleeds nur sehr langsam voran gekommen. Ein einziges Mal war er dann auf einem Pool und ihn auf Marko gebounced. Der hat ihn dann nach vorne geschickt, anstelle zurück. Damit wars dann faktisch erledigt. Ärgerlich war, dass ich leider nicht im meiner Unlock meine Barrens genutzt habe - ich habe damit erst nach der Master Phase mein Elder Library und die folgende Govern gezogen. Die hätten für den zweiten Oust gereicht.

Im letzten Spiel (D1) hatte ich ein Nosferatu Primogen Wall als Prey. Nach der AI in der ersten Runde ging ich davon aus, dass sich das Thema erstmal erledigt haben müsste. War dann aber nicht der Fall: Das Deck spielte 6 (!) AI, und Protected District. Leider habe ich immer den Bleed gleich erhöht, weil ich ohnehin davon ausging, dass er reduziert werden würde. So war ich dann unnötig in der Archon Range - hätte ich den Bleed Reducer abgewartet und danach erhöht, wäre das mit Sicherheit anders ausgegangen.
