Ich habe im VTES Player's Guide von einer Art The Baron Combo-Deck gelesen, welches per Soul Gem of Etrius die ganze Crypt ins Spiel bringt und finde diese Idee eigentlich ziemlich interessant. Hat einer von euch sowas schonmal gespielt und kann was dazu sagen? Ist das Deck sehr anfällig und auf den perfekten Draw angewiesen um zu funktionieren, oder gibt es andere Gründe warum es nicht so häufig gespielt wird? Wenn ich mir vorstelle meine ganze Crypt vor mir liegen zu haben und mein Prey locker überrennen zu können hört sich das doch erstmal sehr nett an.

Hier ein Beispiel eines Turbo Baron Decks mit Erläuterung. Der Artikel im franz. Forum beschäftigt sich ganz allgemein mit Turbo Decks, das des Barons ist da nur ein Beispiel.

Hab das Deck (oder eine Abart davon) mal in München erleben "dürfen". Entweder hast du als Prey sofort die richtige Antwort darauf, oder du bist sehr schnell tot -- entweder per Power Bleed vom Baron oder vom Swarm, der sich so neben her bildet.

DECK: Brit-Turbo, or, Tribute to the Rehlow

CREATED BY: Legbiter, but firmly based on the original idea of Matt Rehlow. This version got second place in the May Ramstein tournament, Germany. A closely-similar version recently won a tournament in weden; sadly i have forgottten the player's name [Erik, maybe?] and i'm not sure whether he cloned it directly from Matt or from me.

CONCEPT: The Baron, on one blood, acquires the soul gem, then bleeds with inferior Force of Will [and burns]. The next vampire in the crypt is younger, and has superior necromancy, so it comes into play on full blood, and possesses the Baron back into play. This fresh baron is not bound by NRA, so it can do exactly the same thing again. Easily capable of running through 15 pool in a single turn; mutates from a trick deck into a swarm in the process [don't neglect to use the specials on the other vampires you bring out, they can be crucial to victory]. Hard but fun to play, its banes are contesting, static intercept intelligently deployed, and rush-combat. i would rate this right up there with ToGP as a novel and heart-breakingly competitive deck, and i would also point out that it is REALLY cheap to build, VERY few rares [only the Soul Gems are essential, and really you only need ne].

Daring the Dawn ist hauptsächlich drin, um den Baron zuverlässig zu burnen und den Bleed ins Ziel zu bringen. Aber das wichtigste ist, dass er burnt, und das klappt (zum Thema DI) auch, wenn er inferior Force of Will spielt.

PTO killt ihn nicht, dann wird er eben einfach zurück possessed - außerdem ist die Karte bekanntlich gebannt. Banishment ist etwas besser, allerdings stottert nach meiner Erfahrung der Turbo tendenziell öfter, wenn der Baron geburnt ist (weil Possession kein Stealth hat und die übrigen Vampire nicht so üppig mit Obfuscate ausgestattet sind).

Pentex geht, solange noch keine anderen Vampire da liegen - aber das muss dann auch kommen! Der Punkt ist: Im (eher theoretischen) Idealfall macht der Turbo den Tisch in einem Turn! Aber auch sonst kommt bei jeder Iteration ein neuer Vampir auf den Tisch, das kann auch so schnell kritische Masse annehmen.

Suddens und Wash mag das Deck am wenigsten, sowohl der Contact als auch der Minion Tap sind kritisch, Vast Wealth fast genauso.

Absolut tödlich ist natürlich Rush + Graverobbing...
