• While the second round of playtest of the Hecata and Lasombra preconstructed decks is prepared, the playtesters are trying out the first draft of a two-player variant of VTES. This is very exciting, for it is one of the most sought-after things according to Black Chantry customer service.

Eine kurze Variante, um Leuten das Spiel beizubringen, finde ich schon sinnvoll.
Es nimmt den Druck raus gleich 2 bis 4 andere Spieler zu finden und geht wohl schneller.
Zumal man die Karten ja auch für das normale Spiel verwenden kann.

Wie Teylen beschrieben hat, wurde es auf dem EC auch beworben. Es soll sich um ein Demo-Kit handeln, welches einen einfachen Einstieg in VTES auf Messen usw. ermöglichen soll.

Das ist mir alles klar. Es erscheint nur so absurd, ein Multiplayerspiel zunächst im 1:1 zu erklären -- auch wenn ich das selbst schon so erlebt und gemacht habe und ja sogar EC-Sieger Jonas Ståhle im Interview berichtet, dass er das Spiel so kennengelernt hat.

Mein Erstkontakt war auch so 1 zu 1, mit einer Probe / kurzen mehr Erklärspiel mit Tom Vandenberghe auf dem WoD Fanfest in Berlin

• Playtest coordinator Norman Brown has compiled a first 63-page playtest report on the two-player variant of VTES. 42 playgroups sent in their views, now for the design team to analyse and more forward on. Big thanks to all participants!

• The two-player variant of VTES, that has already gone through one round of playtesting, is put on hold. It needs more work, and the sets mentioned above have priority for 2024.
